The Word of the Day: Perspective

The word of the day is Perspective. Back in September, I went to Nashville. That resulted in 20 Things I Learned from my Recent Trip to Nashville . One thing I left off that list and that Ive been relearning of Continue reading read more »

Choices

Greetings everyone, from Artsieladie! ♥In and throughout life, there are always "Choices" we must make and it's by the "Choices" we make, who we are as individuals is depicted. Whether we are respectable and honourable people or not is ENTIRELY "our decision", is ENTIRELY at our command. ♥"Choices"Where I have dominion, the liability rests with me,Is with who and what I choose of myself to be.There is no one else I can credit or place on the blame,Of who and what I am, either of honour or with shame.I am... read more »

Decisions, Decisions

Have you ever been faced with a decision between two comparatively good choices? Which is the right one? Weve all been there dozens of times, from small choices such as paint color for a wall, to larger choices such as job offers. What do you do when faced with a choice you cant seem to [] read more »

I Actually Made It!

Hi everyone! Sorry you haven't heard from me for a while! The last time I wrote, I was freaking out about going out to Portland. Well, here is the short version of what happened. You may remember I had decided to think of it as a short-term visit instead of a permanent move, because it was too overwhelming to think about forever. Well, the problem was, although everyone in my family agreed to think of it as an extended visit, they (my parents mainly) still continued to talk about it as if I was going to be... read more »

Its Getting Closer!

One of the mandalas I colored in my book!It is getting closer and closer to my move date! Although right now I am still thinking of it as a temporary move with the possibility of becoming long term. Realizing that I will be back in June, at least for a visit, has really been helping me ward off a lot of my potential anxiety!I haven't blogged for a while because I've been busy tying up all of the loose ends. I took as many subbing jobs as I could in the last two weeks so that I will be able to have a few ... read more »

Maybe Nothing To Lose

A cool example of a sensory roomAre you getting tired of hearing about my big ideas yet? Sometimes they seem to come and go as quickly as Fraggles, (The Muppet kind, not the meth head kind.) But there are one or two that have been sticking around, refusing to fade away. One of those is my dream of starting a school. I have written about it before and even made a website for it.I have been thinking of it as more of a long-term plan, like a "some day" kind of thing. But today I was thinking about both of my... read more »

On life, and changes

Well, it has been a pretty eventful time for me since I last updated this blog. There have been some pretty mega life changes and there are more in the planning stages at the minute. Let me bring you lovely folk up to speed... Read more » read more »

Walking Out

When I first read the phrase, "Walking out" or any variation-I presume bad news. For example, "She walked out on him because she couldn't stand the abuse anymore"Or, "He walked out on her, because he didn't think he could handle a family"See?Bad news. But, walking out on something is taking initiative, and in some cases it's the best thing you could ever do.I dunno if I shared this or not, but two weeks ago this Thursday I celebrated one whole year, 365 days of being clean from my addiction.Let me tell you... read more »

Remembering who you are

I'm working on my AP Lang summer reading material right now (no, I am not a crammer, they told us not to start the books until August-duh) And it's by Annie Dillard, her childhood and all that. Right now I've really loved hearing her talk about "waking up" bridging the point, where, as a child you go from living each day, to remembering yesterday.Sometimes it's hard to remember things from our past. For me, it's the age of 7-13 years old that's a wee bit dodgy. But I'm not worried. While I sit here, jammi... read more »

Finding Trusted Counsel

In God We Trust… One of my gifts is that of teaching people to hear from God. My sincere question to someone describing a dream, vision or something else and asking me my thoughts, is “What is God saying to you about this?” Because at the end of the day it may in fact have [] read more »

Positive or Negative... The Truth About Will Power

"I can't seem to get started. ""Being healthy is hard. It takes too much work.""I tried it once, and I just can't seem to stick to it. I don't have the will power!"I hate the term "will power". It's a term that always has a have or don't have attached to it. If someone tries to make a change and doesn't the reason is that they don't have will power. If someone accomplishes a tough goal that requires sustained effort and change, it is credited to the fact that they do have will power. Will power becomes a... read more »

Make Up My Mind...Ass!

Well today has just been one of those days...that followed another one of 'them' days which was a result of 'that' day. Rewind a few weeks ago and I was employed full time for a company that I thought was kind of rockin...right up until they allowed one shady s.o.a.b (I'm being SUPER polite right now) to turn my world upside down. Why ever would someone want to do that? Despite thinking that there are still a bunch of GOOD district managers, I have come to the unfortunately blindsided conclusion, th... read more »

Stating the Obvious!

No matter how many times someone says making choices in life aren't always easy, let me tell you, this last 2 weeks has been ridiculous. One one hand you have the decision that appears to be very black/white with no room for any shades of grey, and then in the other is the choice that does raise questions BUT...they are really really great ones and it leaves you even forgetting about the other hand completely. Naturally both have long lists of pros and cons. Naturally you ask for input from others beca... read more »

Decisions, Decisions, Oh Decisions!

They said, life is how we make it... What we are today is what we have decided yesterday. I completely ignore this truths before because I am over confident of myself when I made one of the greatest decisions in my life. I thought everything will fall in complete order. I thought everything will be okay. But the present truth indeed opened my eyes trying to point fingers on me while saying "I told you so...". No I am not complaining. However, if I should onlyhavepaid attention with it, I should ha... read more »

Britney Spears

“I choose to be a happy person. I choose not to be a bitter person and if I have a bad day I get really angry with myself and I flip it and tell myself I’m gonna have a good day, I’m gonna be strong, I will be strong and that’s how I choose to [...] read more »
