Star wars The Black Series Risk board game review.

I must be the onlyguy, my age, on this earth who has never played the game Risk, I was always more of a monopoly guy in truth, but I do really love Star Wars, so I had to give this a whirl. There are two versions of Star Wars Risk out there. The first is the standard version, which usually retails at £34.99 and then there is the version I'll be talking more about today, the Black Edition, which retails at £49.99. I should point out here that I didn't pay that much, I paid just £20, which strangelywas the ... read more »

Dark nights: Metal. My thoughts on issue 2. Min...

Hooray its Wednesday, or as I prefer to call it, new comics day!Top of the list today is issue 2 of the latest DC event - Dark nights Metal - written by Scott Snyder with art by Greg Capullo. If you caught issue 1, you'll recognise the waffle that starts issue 2 with someone lecturing us on the beginning of the multiverse. Yawn. Get on with the action! To be fair, this issue does just that, as it dives into a high speed chase pretty quickly. Its seems that naughty Batman, being the great team player he is ... read more »

The Joker & Lex Luthor

Picking up where the Justice League Series left off, I wanted to do something based on the two most well known high profile villains of DC Comics. It's well known that the Justice League comes together when a very dangerous worldly threat arises, but outside of League business, the heroes (mainly Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Lantern) also have their solo lives and missions protecting their individual cities from members of their own rogues galleries of villains. For this one we take ... read more »

With the movie set to launch mid-February and my love of comics, the idea came to me last week to do a Deadpool theme. For those not familiar with Deadpool, he's a popular Marvel character (in fact, one of their current most popular) that was created by writer Fabian Nicieza and artist Rob Liefeld and was introduced in the comic book The New Mutants in 1991. Over the years, the wisecracking "Merc With A Mouth" became more popular to the point of having different regular and mini-series over the years alo... read more »

"Taskmaster" Reverted Back to Marvel?

According to the sources of, the live action rights to Marvel Comics villain Taskmaster have reverted back to Marvel Studios. The issue arose recently when Deadpool director Tim Miller made a comment about which other characters he’d like to see Wade Wilson battle on screen. Here’s the quote cited by the comic site:"I'd love to see Deadpool fight Batman - no, I'm just kidding, that's not even in the Marvel family! I’d love to see Deadpool go up against Taskmaster who's another Marvel total f... read more »

Carol Danvers is Finally Back!

To all comic purists and enthusiasts who are tired of seeing their favorite characters turned inside out by unwanted "political correctness"police, writers have started to heed your call to go back to the original source. After seeing Captain Marvel turned into a character nobody wants, an (illegal) immigrant from Pakistan, writers are bringing back Carol Danvers. It appears that Danvers has been pretty busy in that mysterious eight month gap between the end of Secret Wars and relaunch of the All-New, All-... read more »

A New Galactus

Galactus has just undergone a pretty serious change, thanks to Marvel's recent Secret Wars and its follow-up publishing initiative, "All-New, All-Different Marvel."But this is not about the film rights. Nevertheless, the devourer of worlds ... well, Spoilers on.In this week's "Ultimates #2," the titular team responded to the multiverse-eradicating threat of Galactus by forcing him back into the chamber that first "birthed" him and made him what he was. They somehow changed the energy in the chamber using... read more »

Did Daredevil Do Something Bad?

Daredevil comic is now available, and a lot has changed for Matt Murdock since the previous volume. He's even done something drastic that has affected the entire Marvel Universe. The most immediately obvious change in this issue is that Matt Murdock has returned to New York City after a brief move to San Francisco in Mark Waid and Chris Samnee's book. Not only is Matt back in Hell's Kitchen, he also has a new job as A.D.A. Rather than defending the innocent in court, he'll now be prosecuting the guilty.Ma... read more »

Could Superman's Life Get Any Worse?

Everyone who has been following the Superman comics recently, should know that he’s having a hell of a rough time. Why Spider-Man Bought The FF4 Building

Marvel’s first family are notoriously absent from their "All-New, All-Different" universe. Sue Storm and Reed Richards are gone. Johnny Storm works with the Inhumans, the Thing with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Even their former home is now owned by Spider-Man. But it turns out Peter Parker had a good reason for it.The Amazing Spider-Man #3 showed that Johnny Storm was furious from what he thought was an inconsiderate move from one of their friends and showed Spidey why he is such a fire brand. But fun an... read more »

Blade was/is one of my favorite Wesley Snipes roles. For those unaware, Blade is actually a character from Marvel Comics may have been relatively unknown to the casual fan before the hit films. It had been a while since I done a comic book theme and I wanted to tackle another one. This one was done kinda on a whim and with little planning. So using the all-white air max 90s as the canvas, I crafted a shoe based around the character. The main inspiration for the shoe design came from various elements....... read more »

Damian Wayne's Rudest Gay Comment

Damian Wayne, a.k.a. Robin, has been considered as one of comics polarizing character. Some think he's confident and lovable. Others think he's abrasive and obnoxious. There's just no denying he has quite an ego and tends to be pretty blunt. Love or hate the kid, it is funny when he uses gay in his dialogue. The kid has made dozens of hysterical remark, but the one aboe is everyone's favorite.A villain doesn't need to wear darker colors to be all kinds of frightening. Joker is proof of this and so is Fla... read more »

The Most Offensive Gay Superhero in History

Why Not Develop A Female Asgardian?

In Marvel Universe, Thor's power has been wielded over the years by many characters - a Frog, a Space-horse-thing, Captain America - but soon, the mantle will pass to a woman.
